Small H&M bra haul!

Whenever I go on to twitter or Instagram I always come across bralettes, and some of them are beautiful. I was looking at a website called etsy– where you can buy vintage or handmade products, and I came across some beautiful bralettes however you had to pay shipping fees ect, so my order came to £50 for some bras..

However I discovered some from H&M, and I have fallen in love, they are so cute and so comfortable and they also look really nice on.

H&M bralette

I got them in white/black, however there are various other colours in packs of two or on there own.

I was a bit worried about sizes as it comes in 8,10,12 ect and not 32b,c,d ect. I ordered a size 10, and It fits perfectly and I am normally a 32C-D.

I just think bralettes are so cute and I will 100% buying more! You can buy these bralettes from the H&M website  for £12.99 for two or £6.99 each.

The next bra I ordered was a lace push up bra. I still don’t even know if push up bras work on me however this bra is very comfy, I think it is very pretty and It does give me cleavage too.

In this picture It looks strapless- It is not!!

I took a close up of the lace detail of the bra because I love it, it also has a small bow and a little silver  gem in the middle.

H&M bra

I have this bra in the colour Burgundy- however you can get it in 6 different colours.

This bra is in the sale at the minute for £3.00, however it’s normal price is £7.99, which I still think is good value. You can buy this bra or many others like it on the H&M website.

H&M are also promoting their newsletter at the minute- if you sign up you get 25% of an item of your choice and free delivery!

I also really like the fact that you can return deliveries instore and you don’t have to send it again in the posting allowing for exchanges and refunds to happen alot quicker.

Mid-Week Q&A

So on twitter and Instagram, I asked you guys to send me some questions for me to answer, so you can all find out a little bit more about me!

The first question is from Gemma,

If you could do any job then what would it be and why?

I think my life time goal job would be, doing personal training on the beaches of Australia. I mean come on, sun, sea, beaches all year round?! Minus all the creepy crawlies..

The next question is from DenbraberBeauty

Why did you start blogging and when?

One of the main reasons why I started blogging because my Aunite does. Whenever I saw her, we would talk about blogging and I was going to make one a few years back but I had no time, so after exams I finally created one and I do not regret it at all! Another reason I started blogging is because I never really had much confidence, I used to be quite nervous about doing certain things or being around people I didn’t really know, but I knew that if I started blogging I would probably come out of my shell a bit more because I can voice my opinions and I can’t see the people that are reading and judging me.

DenbraberBeauty also asked

how long does it take you to write a blog post?

It really depends on what sort of post it is, if it’s a sit down long chatty post, It would take me a few days, because I tend to write it and read over it several times to make sure everything makes sense ect, but I can easily do 1-2 haul posts a day, without including editing and taking pictures ect.

The next question is from desire4beauty

What would you tell your 13 year old self?

To not care what anyone else thinks. I used to be that girl that cared about what everyone thought of me, and when I used to get ‘hated on’ I always blamed myself and thought I wasn’t good enough for anyone. But as I have got older I have realised that you can’t make everyone happy so there is no point in even trying. Wear something because you want to wear it, Be someone that you want to be, don’t change to be liked or you will never be happy.

This question is from Charlotte

Which blog post have you enjoyed writing the most and why?

I have really only been blogging 4/5 months so I haven’t really written many posts, however my favourite one so far has to be looking back over 2015, throughout the year you make so many memories that you start to forget some, so looking back and remembering everything was really nice.

Where is your happy place?

I think I have a few happy places, one would be at my Nan&Grandad’s house, ever since I can remember we always used to go to theirs every Sunday for a roast dinner; which were honestly the best, however sadly my Nan got unwell so is no longer able to cook for all 7 of us! But I still get too see them once a week when they come over to my house for tea! I know if I’m ever in trouble I will always be allowed to stay around their house, I will get given enough food to feed at least 500 people (Does anyone else put on at least 5lbs when they visit their Grandparents)?!! When im there I just feel very happy. I think another happy place would be a track, just me, my spikes and the track, running for me is the way I deal with stress ect and training at college is one of the times I do not think about anything else.. because nothing else really matters.

Favourite memory?

Over the last 17 years I have made some amazing memories, many that I never want to forget. I think one that really sticks out for me is going to the London Anniversary Games last year, because I saw Jess Ennis-Hill compete; I think every girl athlete wants to be as good as her, I felt like crying after every race because I know how hard it is to train, and when you win, It is honestly the best feeling ever. This is one memory that will stick with me forever.

Favourite Track to compete at?

I have been doing athletics for the past 6 years and I have competed at many different tracks, however my favourite ones to compete at have been either the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham as it was my first experience of competing in a national stadium, or the Warwick University track- It’s Blue..

That was my Mid-week Q&A, I hope you enjoyed reading it!

I would like to thank everyone that gave me questions to answer, I have also reached 300 followers on Twitter; It may not sound like a lot, but I always thought my Mum would be the only one following and reading my blog!

Hobbycraft haul!

As some of you many know from a recent blog post, one of my new year’s resolutions  was to create a memory jar. This is where everyday, you write a positive thing that has happened to you that day and at the end of the year you read back and ‘relive’ the happy memories of that year.

So when I was looking on the hobbycraft website, i knew this was the first thing I had to buy- A jar suitable for this.

This was the jar i found, originally I didn’t think it would be this big, however I think that the jar is perfect for what I want to do, and I can keep reusing it.

Hobbycraft jar

I like how it has a painted on chalkboard at the front to write whatever you want too, I just wrote 2016, as this is relevant to me, however you could put pasta in it and write pasta!

However I wouldn’t say the chalk lasts along time once it is written on- Just like any chalkboard, it will smudge and wear with time.

Memory jar

This is what my memory jar looks like so far!

You can pick this jar up from the hobbycraft website for £2.00, however with student discount, it cost me £1.80, which I thought was excellent value for money.

Another thing I really want to do is create a scrapbook full of memories/pictures, so I brought this scrapbook.- no doubt ill keep you updated with how it’s going!

hobbycraft scrapbook

I liked this because every page is plain brown, so you can create a different look on every page, I also liked how the ribbon at the end, as my previous scrapbooks that I have done in the past have fallen part, however the ribbon should keep everything together in one place.

The pages are also thick and good quality, you can pick a scrapbook book up from hobbycraft  for around £6.00, however with a student discount, it costs £5.40.

I also wanted to make my scrapbook look fun and interesting, so I brought a silver sharpie, 72 pieces of good quality paper and some glue.

hobbycraft glue

The glue costs £1.00 but £0.80 with the student discount, which I think is really good value as it will last along time and you can use it on multiple projects.

This is the paper, there are 72 sheets of pink girly 6x6in thick paper. I brought this for £4.00 (£3.60 with student discount) which I thought was very good value. You can buy this pack of paper or many that are similar here.

This is the silver marker pen, It costs £2.50 (£2.25 with student discount) which I thought was cheap as you can obviously use this for various different projects.

The Beauty Blogger Award

Hey guys!

Another mid week post! What happened to only uploading once a week!

Anyway, I have been nominated for the beauty bloggers award by Georgia , Thank you for nominating me! I love her blog however she does make me want to buy too much with her latest blog posts- ahah I need to stop spending.

I am very pleased to say that this is the second award I have been nominated for this year, creating this blog has been one of the best decisions I have made- I have made so many new friends, learnt lots of new tips and most importantly, I have so far enjoyed every moment of blogging and I’m sure I will continue to love it!

The questions from Georgia

Who is your girl/boy celeb crush?

My boy celeb crush would have to be David Beckham, I don’t always find tattoo’s attractive, however he just looks good with them!

Who is your style icon?

I wouldn’t really say I have a style icon, I kind of go for clothes I like the look of and see what I can make work with it.

What is your favourite drugstore foundation?

Like I have mentioned in various previous posts, I never wear foundation, I just don’t like how it feels on my skin (I tend to just want to take it off as soon as I walk out the door) so I stick to my trusty Nivea tinted moisturising day cream as it feels light on my skin and still gives me coverage.

Which 10 people (dead or alive) would you invite to a dinner party?

1, Obviously David Beckham, 2, Jessica Ennis-Hill 3, Mo Farah, 4, James Corden, 5, Michael Mcintyre 6, Miranda Hart 7, Karl Pilkington 8,Marco Pierre White 9, Jimmy Carr, 10, Beyonce (I looks like I’m in for a funny night!)

How do you survive early mornings?

To be honest, I have always been quite an early morning person, at weekends I’ve awake before 9am, I just think having a lie in is just a waste of a day! However since being at college and having to get up at 6:30am, I don’t think I do survive; I tend to get ready half asleep, hence why I hardly wear make-up because I simply cannot be bothered, I then get on the bus for 1 and a half hours, in which I just sleep alot and listen to music to try and wake myself up before I get to college. (I still can’t tell if I’m fully awake when I get to college though)

What is your favourite winter coat?

I brought this coat from QUIZ a couple of years a go and I love it. It’s quite long and black, It has a furry strip between the coat and the hood (quite possibly the worst description ever) But it’s just so cosy and warm. This is the closest thing on the website that looks like it because I did buy it about 2 years go!

Where is your make up bag from?

Ted Baker.

What one outfit would you wear for the rest of your life and why?

My Boohoo white jeans, with my comfy Asos boots with a crop top and a jumper- You could wear this outfit in the winter or in the summer which I like alot and at the minute I have an obsession with black and white so I feel like this outfit is very me!

You can find this outfit on my Instagram.

Do you prefer hot or cold weather?

100% Hot weather! I hate the cold, and plus hot weather means summer which means sun, holidays, family, and I get a tan which I love- I hate feeling pale.

What is one beauty related goal that you have?

To become more adventurous with lipstick colours throughout the different seasons.

Insta Natural Review- Aloe Vera Gel

I was very impressed when I first opened the packaging because It had a pump and a lid. I thought this was a very good idea as you can use this product for multiple uses.

However I don’t know if the pump is broken, but I couldn’t get it to work.

I was also excited to use it as not only is it a ‘after sun’ and a moisturiser, but it also is a hair conditioner!

However as you can see, it isn’t the green colour of normal Aloe Vera gel- maybe because its natural.

I first used this product in the morning as it says that it can help with  Acne and blemishes, and I had a couple of blemishes so I thought I would try it out, and even though I do think it worked it left my skin feeling quite tight.

However I used this straight after shaving my legs and I didn’t have any Razor bumps and my legs did feel smooth. I was also impressed when I used it as a conditioner- My hair has got quite dry at the ends recently, however after using this product, It made my hair feel more nourished and soft.

You can purchase this product on the amazon website and I would recommended it to anyone who has dry or damaged hair.

disclaimer:  I was sent this item mentioned in exchange for an honest review.
